New Hospital for Combat Support Ship
The newly designed and built "integrated marine rescue center" (iMERZ) was successfully installed on the EGV "Frankfurt am Main" on May 23. 2022.
Comparing to the previous container solution, the new iMERZ is placed as a fixed deckhouse on the tcombat support ship (EGV), with advantages in terms of optimizing medical care processes and improved integration into the ship. Thus, the ship has again a complete "hospital" for the comprehensive medical care of the marine soldiers on the high seas. The "hospital" is equiped with two operating theatres, an X-ray room, a dental technology department, various laboratories and the latest medical technology.
